Fresh Linens Supplied
Fresh linens including sheets, towels and pool towels are provided for your stay. Our Guest linens & towels are professionally laundered after each stay.

Each Pavilion has a fully equipped kitchenette with a ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, full-size fridge, electric frypan, juicer, toaster and dishwasher.
Log Fires (seasonal)
Our log fires are stacked and ready for use from early May until the October long weekend. These times may vary depending on the weather.
Nespresso and Twinings
All Pavilions have a Nespresso Creatista automatic coffee machine with a supply of capsules. A selection of Twinings teas are also provided.

Privacy is paramount. Our Pavilions are spaced apart for seclusion, with screened pools/decks and no passing traffic, you can hear yourself think!

Each of our Pavilions has their own private Plunge Pool. Complete with deck screens, so no swimming costume required! Perfect for a skinny dip!

Wild Edge Retreat was so lovely! I advise driving during the day as it is hard to look for the retreat during night time (no GPS/cell signal in that area). However, if you follow the signs it is quite easy. The area is quite nice and very secluded. We stayed in the Wind Spirit and it was very lovely. We give top marks for cleanliness and privacy. The decor, infinity pool, and bathroom was very nice, along with the service (complementary breakfast in the refrigerator). Overall an Amazing experience! Amazing place to unwind. My partner and I spent a week at Wild Edge Retreat in the 'natures mist pavilion'. It was magical walking into the pavillion seeing it in immaculate condition, a beautiful insense was burning and to beautifully calm music welcomed our arrival. We had arrived in paradise. The room has a beautiful view and a comfy bed. The pool was great for the hot weather and taking a break from swimming whilst reading a book on the day bed was very relaxing. - Stayed in the Wind Spirit villa at Wild Edge Retreat for my girlfriend’s 30th, and it was exceptional from start to finish. Emma greeted us on arrival and was genuinely helpful throughout our stay. She surprised us with a complimentary birthday cake, which was a great touch.||The villa is even better than the photos. The pool is completely private and has an unreal outlook, the bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and the spa overlooking the mountains is something you could sit in for hours. - Highly recommended ... Idyllic We were in Wollombi to see our grand-daughters (and their parents) and booked into Whispering Forest at Wild Edge for 2 nights, based on the photos on their website. The photos don't do justice to the reality ... the place is faultless. Lovely manicured grounds in a haven of peace and tranquility. The pavilions are private, large, comfortable, elegant and beautifully appointed. They have a fully equipped kitchen and the fridge was filled with an incredibly varied selection of breakfast foods, enough to feed the most voracious of eaters. The bed is large and comfortable with great pillows. A large terrace with outdoor bed and bar-b-que runs the length of the pavilion and has panoramic views across the valley beow. Well worth the 15 minute drive up the hill from Wollombi. But once you drive up to the retreat that's where you were see the most beautiful nature view that god created. I call "Heaven on Earth". - Most amazing Paradise stay From the minute we arrived we felt welcomed! We just spent 3 nights in the Natures Pavilion and one word ... WOW! The pavilion was very spacious, very clean, and had all the necessities you could require and more! We didn't have to leave the Pavilion at all. We were greeted with warmth and friendliness, and the stress of city life began to almost immediately melt away. No sooner had we parked when we were whisked away on a golf buggy to our pavilion by Emma. She assisted us with our luggage and proceeded to give us a tour of the pavilion. Candles were already aglow, and chill music was playing on the Bose stereo. The pavilion is well laid out and beautifully appointed, and the little details made this a very special place to stay. The breakfast provisions were great and even to the point where oranges were supplied so we could make fresh orange juice each morning using the electric juicer provided. The Nespresso machine was also a nice touch. The pool was amazing, and each afternoon, some of the wildlife would come and say hi. The deck is a beautiful spot to have breakfast, and afternoon wine and cheese with a beautiful view. We had decided to stay put for the entire weekend, even though the Hunter Valley wineries aren't too far away. We self catered our lunch and dinners, and the BBQ made this easy. We could not believe how tranquil this place was. The block out blinds made a sleep in easy. One morning of our stay, we had a dual in-house massage on the deck - being able to open the doors to the deck to allow fresh air and chill music to flow was great. Upon departure, Tamara came to collect us with the buggy and she was also very friendly. This is certainly one of the best places we have stayed and have already recommended it to friends. Alan's friendly welcome was appreciated and the service provided over the weekend was unassuming, unobtrusive and professional. What a location! Four pavilions are perched on the ridge with views down into the valleys on either side. Raised walkways lead from the carpark to the pavilions and pass newly planted native gardens. Birdsong and frog croaks abound! Lazing on the day bed and swimming in our private infinity edge pool with magnificent, expansive valley views in front of us was extraordinary. Our room was beautifully appointed with a full kitchen and a spa bath with windows that fold back to let you take in the 180 degree view. Heaven. - A retreat for all seasons My partner and I recently spent a weekend at Wild Edge. Whilst the weather was bleak, Wild Edge was totally the opposite. Our accomodation was superb with amazing attention to detail. This place is immaculate and trust me, I’m a princess and wear my Tiara with pride. Everything is provided for your stay. The owners are welcoming then leave you alone to do your own thing. We only saw one other couple once when they walked past as they were departing. The spa is huge, the king bed is comfy, the sheets are clean, the lounge is new and not saggy, everything in the kitchen is supplied that you would need. the balcony equipped with day-bed, BBQ and outdoor eating area were of huge proportion to accompany the amazing view. - Relaxation Perfection Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Wild Edge Retreat. We spent two nights for our wedding anniversary. Spacious, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated with nice touches of attention to detail. Enormous deck. Fantastic views, beautiful setting and tranquil. Even the drive up to the lodge adds to the enjoyment as you wind up the unsealed road to the top, making it feel even more remote, yet you are just a few minutes drive to everything you need in the cute town of Wollombi. If you drive from Sydney, taking the exit at Peats Ridge is a joy to drive, though lovely winding roads and beautiful countryside. We took our mountain bikes and enjoyed the ride which there are many places to go. Host Alan and Andrew were warm and friendly and very helpful. - The perfect place for a honeymoon retreat This place was more then amazing, it was perfect. After a stressful yet exhilarating wedding, we were ready for a few days away from people and phones. As we drove up from Sydney, it bucketed down rain and we thought of ditching the whole idea for something closer to warms shops and restaurants. Thank goodness we didn’t. We were greeted with spectacular warmth from the caretaker which, can I say, was one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve met. Not a thing was too much for him. The level of service was impeccable, from picking out dvds for us, to preparing the BBQ and cheese packs (which I highly recommend if you're planning to say), to surprising us with champagne and rose petals upon arrival. Even discussing our stay beforehand, he was happy to take all the preparations on board. A true asset for the retreat. Bring your own food, cheese and wine when you stay (unless you get the packs), as you won’t want to leave. The view, the pool, the bathrooms! All above the chain 5 star resorts by miles. We even splurged a little and took a helicopter tour to the wineries from the retreat’s own helipad. This was all organised through the onsite caretaker. He was just marvellous. I had a little query re laundry, sent a message via their website and promptly got a response via email. Apart from the confirmation email received upon booking, there is another email that was sent a week prior to our stay containing all pertinent information including driving instructions.A portion of the road leading up to the retreat location was unsealed. Thus, the drive up there was quite rough and uncomfortable. Nothing unexpected as this was clearly noted on the email. But upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Emma, we heard the chirping of the birds and saw how beautiful the place is, so we thought it was all worth it.Our pavilion (Earth Song) was well-stocked and is extremely clean. We were greeted with some lovely tealight candles, a sweet little birthday cake for my husband, a personalized welcome letter with a beautiful relaxing music on the background. The breakfast provisions were extremely generous (see photos) and we loved the little snacks provided as well that went perfectly with our coffee/tea. My personal favorite was the Citrus Press! I love my OJ freshly squeezed for me for breakfast!The picturesque view from the deck accompanied with the soft chirping of the birds was just the lovely break that we needed from our usual daily routine. We loved soaking ourselves in the warm pool and how we ended our day with a nice warm spa bath.Overall, I think it’s the little personal touches all throughout our stay that made this one particularly stood out from all the rest we’ve had before. From Emma personally greeting us when we arrived helping us with our stuff, the personalized letter, the little cake, setting the mood in the room (candles, music) for when we arrive, the little notes reminding us to just call when we need anything or extra provision, up to the recommendations on where to stop on the way back home!I cannot thank you enough Emma & Mick for helping me make this staycation a truly special and memorable one for my husband! We just cannot wait to be back!TIPS:- Albeit breakfast provisions were extremely generous, bring enough food & bev items that’ll last for the duration of your stay as there are no shops within walking distance to the retreat. Nearest grocery as per the pre-stay email is 35mins drive from there.- There is no laundry facility onsite so it’s helpful to bring a laundry bag for used clothes- No need to bring anything to fully enjoy the spa bath. I actually bought a lush bubble bar but apparently, I can’t use it there. That wasn’t a problem though because a beautiful bath bag infusion, as well as some bath foam is already provided. The only downside about the whole trip was my poor little sportscar got hammered heading up and down the dirt road trek leading to the retreat. Its mentioned as a dirt road but its more of a 4WD track... Not made for a sportscar with low profile tyres as the 30 minute trip back to the town ended up with a tyre blow out due to the dirt road condistions now costing me another $600 and a long wait on the side of the road while i learnt how to replace a tyre again 🙁 ... of course not their fault.... - A Slice of Heaven After a crazy 2021, my husband and I were desperate for a place to relax and unwind. And boy, did Wild Edge Retreat deliver just what we were after! - Perfect 10th wedding anniversary weekend We spent last weekend at Wild Edge for our 10th wedding anniversary and our stay was absolutely perfect! We were warmly welcomed by the lovely Emma who took our luggage to our pavilion for us and explained everything. We got to our amazing room and the fire was going, soft music was playing and a bottle of bubbles was on ice. We then had tandem massages in our room and were well and truly relaxed. We arrived 2 days after our wedding and were greeted by Emma in the golf cart to collect our belongings to take us to our pavilion, The Wind Spirit!! First little personal detail I noticed was the "Just Married" sign on the back of the cart!! When we arrived at the pavilion, when we opened the door the aircon was on the room smelt amazing! We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and a personal note from Emma and Mick which I have kept for my wedding box and again some "Just married" signs in our room!! Our pavilion was incredibly clean! It had the feeling that we had been the first to stay there (which were obviously not) which in my opinion is the level of cleanliness you want! I had read the emails when we booked and all the info on the website and when I jumped online and read some reviews it is very clearly noted 1. The driveway can be rough! It was actually not as bad as I was expecting and noticed that it was better in some parts then the tar on the main roads! 2. Get your groceries on the way out because it is not a resort! We did drop into Cessnock on the way and grabbed some supplies, although we did go out almost everyday and have a look around but if you don't want to have to leave, it is very obvious to grab it on the way! We were on our way out one morning to go for a little drive and grab some breakfast when we ran into Mick he suggested a little cafe in Laguna!! It was perfect, thanks Mick!! The pavilion has everything you need and more! It has all top of the range appliances! We got the seafood platter and I cannot recommend it more! It was some of the best seafood I have ever had! It was so fresh! It was the perfect honeymoon waking up to the birds every morning! We stayed 4 nights, 5 days! The pool, the spa, the robes and the movies in bed! It couldn't have been better! We stayed in Wind Spirit for the weekend, as a surprise for my husband's birthday. It was everything I'd hoped for and more! Our stay was decadent and relaxing! This is an amazing and very special place set in the remoteness of the Australian bush but with all the luxury and conveniences of a five star resort. It does not have room service nor 5 star dining but this is not needed.

If you come expecting a typical style coastal resort, you will be disappointed. This is a private and secluded slice of heaven set in the Australian bush with all the amenities of a resort. Loved the privacy, swimming pool and time together in a wonderful place.
